DESCRIPTION:In this miniseries\, you will learn how to draft LPAs that demonstrate real value to your clients. We will seek to overcome some of the common challenges that we face when advising clients about LPAs\, so that our client will see us as their trusted advisor\, recommend us and instruct us time and time again. \nBy the end of the sessions\, you will be able to: \n\nIdentify what instructions to take from clients to effectively draft their LPAs\nApply the test of Mental Capacity to make LPAs\nWrite instructions and preferences in an LPA\, including some common clauses and challenges\nDemonstrate an understanding of Business LPAs and when they are needed\nBuild an understanding of Health and Welfare decisions\nInterpret the differences between advanced decisions and a health and welfare LPA\nUnderstand how advanced decisions and health and welfare LPAs interact and which is best to use\nIdentify what information and advice to give to attorneys\nNavigate the changes to LPAs under the Powers of Attorney Act 2023\n\nPlease note\, the course fee is per person. \nAll sessions are recorded and available on demand if you are unable to join live.
